A. M. Joinery Contractors Ltd is able to provide the Main Contractor and Members of the Public with a 1st class service of quality door frames. We are a well established Contractor within the Construction Industry and have our own 10,000sq ft workshop to manufacture and store these items.
All orders will be made from 1st class timber supplies and made to high specification by our team of experienced joiners and carpenters. We have an extensive range of door frames available in all sizes, for single or double door sets and in Softwood or Hardwood. Thresholds are not supplied with our door frames, however we can arrange to supply a threshold with your frames so please let us know and we can advise of the additional cost.
The frames will be routered ready for the insertion of intumescent strip to meet any necessary fire ratings requirements. Intumescent strip is not supplied with the frame, however if you let us know we can arrange to supply this along with the frame at an additional cost. All timber used will be of high quality, knotted and primed ready for installation.The frames can be delivered either ready made with supporting braces to ensure no movement in frame during transportation or if you prefer, for your convenience, they can be delivered flat pack.
Frames that are delivered ready made with supporting braces will be assembled using the following method:
- The corners will be mitred – we have found this to provide a stronger frame.
- The corners will then be glued and screwed together – this ensures a good fix of the frame sections together and also makes the frame stronger.
- 3mm Gaps either side of frame widths will be allowed for on all door sizes.
- Finally, at the bottom of the frame a brace will be added to ensure the frame does not move during transportation / delivery.
Frames that are delivered flat pack will follow the method below:
- The corners will be mitred ready for you to join together.
- The frame sections (legs and head) will be marked to ensure correct match on frame installation.
- 3mm Gaps either side of frame widths will be allowed for on all door sizes.
- The frame sections will be fastened together using straps.
